The powerful 1100 engine is matched in the 'S' version with the renowned Öhlins suspension front and rear. Fully adjustable 43 mm Öhlins forks with low friction TiN fork sliders are complemented by a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock for Superbike-class road holding.

The Multistrada 1100 S is powered by the Ducati 2-valve, air-cooled 1100, Desmodromic Dual Spark L-Twin engine, giving it lightning-fast acceleration with outstanding linear power delivery even from low engine speeds. The Multistrada engine achieves its 1100 status thanks to a big 98mm bore and a short stroke of 71.5mm to produce an impressive 95hp and astounding low-end torque.
The 1100 S also features a wet clutch, dramatically reducing noise and ensuring a more progressive action and feel for the rider.
The Dual Spark ignition on the Multistrada 1100 S optimises combustion temperatures, increases maximum power and torque throughout the rpm range, enhances reliability and reduces fuel consumption. These features also combine to make the Multistrada Euro 3 compliant.
