We just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out to Salt Lake Motorsports last Friday. We had a great time talking with everyone from around the country that came to Salt Lake for World SBK Weekend. It’s always entertaining to share stories with riders from different parts of the world.
Prize bags were given out by the Ducati Hotties to a few lucky people with winning raffle tickets. The appetizer selection was top notch, and there was ample beer and wine to go around. It was a great start to the weekend, and hopefully you made it out to Miller Motorsports Park later in the weekend to see some of the races.

This Friday, May 29th is the premiere of the new Ducati Streetfighter at Salt Lake Motorsports! Come out to see the amazing new Streetfighter and talk with Ducati product reps. Beer and wine will be available, along with light snacks and appetizers. Doors open at 7pm, and the event will run to about 10pm.
Come mingle with the always popular Ducati Hotties and possibly win some great prizes! There will be games and numerous giveaways throughout the night. So come join us at Salt Lake Motorsports on Friday night for a great time before the races this weekend.

We have been discussing what Salt Lake Motorsports is going to do during the WSBK weekend. I get so excited for WSBK because I get to see a number of my online customers and meeting them face to face is so much fun. So far the plan is to have a ton of great apparel deals in the store and online, yummy food and maybe a meet and greet on Thursday night the 28th before the races get going so we can organize daily rides to the track from our shop. We’ll be celebrating at the shop all weekend starting on the 28th, with new Bayliss racing t-shirts, championship paraphernalia and a number of killer apparel sales you don’t want to miss. Keep your eye on SLMS for information about tickets to the World SBK event at Miller Motorsports Park June 1st! It’s been 4 years since the FIM Superbike World Championship has raced in America, and we’re proud to have it right here in Utah! It will share the track that weekend with the AMA Superbike Champs. “This will be the biggest international sporting event in this state since the Olympic Winter Games in 2002“, said track owner Larry H. Miller.
In other news, the big racing circuits – AMA, SBK and MotoGP – have begun with a bang, with Ducati Xerox team rider Troy Bayliss achieving a historic double win at Phillip Island on March 2nd.

The Big Bang 2007 went off on Saturday without a hitch. The Ducati world has so much to celebrate this year, and you could feel it in the night’s electric energy. The weather outside may have been chilly, but there was plenty of heat in the shop with Casey Stoner’s jaw-dropping Moto GP season recap and the 848 Superbike unveiling. The 2008 Ducati Apparel was shown off by beautiful models in the form of a world-class, high-energy fashion show. The highlight of the night – at least for three individuals – was the giveaway of a $250, $500 and $1000 SLMS gift certificate. Thanks to everyone who made the third annual SLMS Ducati Fashion show the best one ever! Photos coming soon!
As if the MotoGP Victory, the 848 Superbike unveiling, and the 2008 Ducati Apparel Fashion Show weren’t enough reasons to celebrate, here’s one more. Salt Lake Motorsports has pledged a monetary donation, in addition to all of the night’s raffle money, to the Utah-based The Christmas Box International. The Christmas Box is a charity that partners with local, national and international communities to prevent child abuse and improve the quality of life for children who have been abused or neglected. We’re happy to do our part in helping the children of Utah, especially during this special time of year. We’ll be raffling off some great prizes, so RSVP today while space is still available.
