Bruno Spaggiari joined Ducati's team in 1956 when he was "just a kid", and the underdog. That year he took third place on a Ducati Marianna 100, with two other Ducati riders placing before him. Spaggiari continued to ride for Ducati and in 1972 he placed 2nd in the Imola 200 alongside Paul Smart.
